OTTER is a modeling tool designed to simulate the performance of water treatment plants dynamically. It can be used to predict individual treatment processes of the whole treatment plant. OTTER enables process engineers and plant operators to optimize the response of a plant to changes in raw water quality, throughput, and process operating conditions. OTTER uses a graphical interface to allow the user to rapidly build a model of a treatment plant, using icons.
